'Rookie of the Year,' Suspended for Cocaine Use, Testifies to Police Board

Former Rookie of the Year officer Georgette Flanagan of the Grand Prairie, TX police, suspended this May after testing positive for cocaine use, testified before a police department disciplinary review board on June 9 (No byline, "Suspended GP Officer Testifies At Hearing," Dallas Morning News, 6/10/93, 27A). Grand Prairie police chief Harry Crum was slated to decide what action, if any, to take against Flanagan the following week, according to a police spokesman.
