Off-Duty Officer Kills Teen In Arlington
Investigators: 2 People Were Arguing After Wreck

ARLINGTON, Texas -- A Houston police officer fatally shot a teenager in Arlington, KPRC Local 2 reported.
Arlington police said the officer, whose name has not been released, was off-duty when he heard a fight outside a home on Juniper Drive near Winterberry Drive at about 6:45 p.m. Monday.
Investigators said two people got into a fight after a car wreck.
The officer went outside and at some point opened fire, killing an 18-year-old, investigators said.
The teen later died at a hospital. His name has not been released.
Detectives said they found a gun on the teen.
Police said the officer's brother was injured during the fight. He was taken to a hospital, but the extent of his injuries was not released.
The officer is a 15-year HPD veteran. He was not hurt.
