Man shot during standoff with SWAT officers

A man was shot during a standoff with SWAT officers in Jacinto City.

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A man was shot during a standoff with Houston SWAT officers this afternoon.

It happened at Fidelity and Market streets in Jacinto City. SkyEye HD was over the scene as SWAT teams had the man surrounded in a red pickup truck.

According to initial police reports, the man was at a relative's home when he caused a disturbance. Police say while SWAT was trying to apprehend the armed man, he pointed his weapon at one of them, and at least one other SWAT officer fired at the man.

The man was rushed to a hospital where his condition is unknown.
