Officer Shoots Suspect in Head

HOUSTON - Police say after a suspect fired a revolver toward an officer pursuing him, the officer returned fire and shot the suspect in the head.

The officer found a male and female suspect conducting an alleged drug transaction before 2 a.m. Monday on Laura Koppe Road and police say the officer chased them both on foot.

After a bullet fired from the suspect's revolver traveled past the officer's head, the officer fired his weapon toward the suspect.

The suspect who was shot was taken to Ben Taub General Hospital in critical condition.
