3 Arrested In Officer-Involved Shooting
Police: 1 Man Shot

HOUSTON -- A SWAT standoff after an officer-involved shooting ended early Wednesday.

Houston police said three armed men fired shots at officers on Main Street near Haviland Street.

Officers returned fire, police said.

Investigators said the trio was suspected of breaking into a business in the 10800 block of West Bellfort Street.

The three fled and two of the men were caught immediately, police said.

A third man kept running and then barricaded himself in a building on Minetta Street near Fairmont Street, detectives said.

SWAT officers were called to get the man out of the building. The man surrendered at about 5:30 a.m., investigators said.

The man suffered a gunshot wound to the face. He was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Police said they found a gun inside the building where the man had barricaded himself.

None of the officers were hurt.
