A man was shot in the neck by police officers overnight in the Galleria area.

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A man was shot in the neck by police officers overnight. This happened after the suspects allegedly fired shots into the air in the Galleria area.

Two Houston police officers say they spotted the suspects around 2:30am Sunday morning in the Galleria area. The officers followed the suspects. Later, an officer got out and tried to order the shooter out of the car, but the passenger would not drop the gun. Both officers fired shots as the suspects sped away.

Police found the car a short time later. The passenger had been shot once in the neck and was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

The driver was arrested.
